Gaining Cooperation!

Parenting Technique 30 – Be a part of the solution by sharing.

It is always effective to share with your child as much as possible. For example:

If you ask your child to set the table, you can say,

“You put out the napkins, and I will get the dishes.

Then…

“You put out the silverware, and I will get the glasses.”

If you ask your child to fold the clothes, you can say

“You fold all the wash cloths, and I will do the towels.”

And…

“You find all the socks, and I will match them.”

Constructive Parenting… Your participation gives your child the message that you are on the same team. It gives the idea of working together, and your child will really like that.
