Tip 75 – Teach your child to “follow-the-dots.”

Ever find yourself looking at activity books for dots activities and think that they all look confusing? While some kids can’t wait to get their hands on the most challenging puzzles of all, others find what is available much too complicated.

Solution!

Make your own.. at just the right level of difficulty for your child. You can use numbers or letters to label the dots. You can spread them out randomly on the page or arrange them in specific designs.

Fun Extension!

Depending on the age, interest, and experience of your child, he or she might want to make a “follow-the-dots” design for you.

Parenting Insight…

Writing practice continues. Besides being fun, there really is a lot to it. Eye-hand coordination, concentration, and learning to control the length of writing a straight line are just a few of the perks that come along with this kind of hands-on interactive fun.
