Simple Summer Fun!
Try this!
Whenever you and your child are together with others, say something nice about your child. Here are some examples. The sky’s the limit!
- Adam always reminds me whenever I forget something.
- It was Kayla’s idea to take the umbrellas.
- Matt saved all the places for us.
When you tell your child something nice anytime, it has a positive effect. However, if you say it in the company of others, you multiply its effectiveness. Here’s why. Your words carry with them a lot of clout. Being the very person who holds your child to the highest standards, people respect what you say; and your child knows that too.
Watch others listen intently… and then be prepared to watch your child beam with pride.
Who is having more fun? You or your child?
