Before you continue with the wonderful world of play, here are four major principles of parenting to guide you. All four together are nicknamed PART I:

1. Play openly. There are no rules.
2. Act natural. Be yourself.
3. Respond. Observe and react.
4. Touch and talk.  Hold, hug, and communicate.
