Dr. Sally Says…
“Talking” is the name of this game. Toddlers love to empty and fill containers, and parents love to talk about everything they see and hear their little one do. Perfect!
Talking!
Age Range: One Year
Area Being Developed: Language (Understanding and Speaking)
First go get your favorite container from your re-cycle bin. Next collect small items like balls, toy cars or trains, and different kinds of dolls. Blocks work great too. Then take turns putting the items in the container. Listen carefully to all your toddler’s sounds and words and respond back with longer sounds and more words. Soon you two will be immersed in lots of play and all kinds of language fun.
