Here is some holiday fun for you and your whole family. The idea behind this activity is to give your child a concrete way to understand the somewhat abstract concept of–who the warm and wonderful people are in his or her life.
Take a set of 3” x 5” index cards. Then ask your child to name one-by-one adults and children who are near and dear to you all. Write each name on a separate card. You can put adult names in one color and child ones in another, or you can write friends in one color and family in another. However you decide to do it, have fun, be festive, and create!
NOTE: This one little set of personalized cards can show you and your family the size and depth of this very special group.
Enrichment Information…
If you have any photos, go ahead and add them. As you know, “A picture is worth 1,000 words!”
Holiday Tradition! You can make a set like this every year and have an interesting way to look back at life over time.
