I just read an article in USA Today called How to talk to your child about weight. While there are so many different approaches to this kind of talk, I recommend referring to a variation of an old saying, “It doesn’t matter if you gain or lose, it’s how you eat your meal.” The better you guide your child in eating, the better your child will eat. The better your child eats, the better his or her weight results will be.
When it comes to parenting, “what to do” is always the path of choice. Its high rate of effectiveness always outshines “what not to do.”
