Where? In Beijing. How do I know? I read about it on my trip to China.
Congratulations to Sarah Curtis, a 26-year-old teacher from the United States. She teaches English to young Chinese children in a total-immersion English-language program! Her students learn so well that she was featured in a recent cover story in the China Daily about foreign language learning.
What is her secret? It has two parts:
1. The children speak only English. No Chinese allowed inside those gates.
2. They have fun as they learn.
Sounds like a good secret to me!!!
The Chinese Touch! The Chinese parents who select this kind of program know that early childhood is the best time to learn a second language, and they genuinely support their children through this process. {I recently spent time in China. I will be sharing tips with you, over the next few weeks, based on what I saw and learned!}
Hurricane Support!
The tips go on! Please continue to use and benefit from them as usual. However, in addition, know that I am available at mainoffice@mommyperks.com to address specific hurricane-related concerns. You can email Mommy Perks and the message will be forwarded to me.
