If you saw the new James Bond movie, Skyfall, you probably noticed there was a lot of gun use. When the movie premiered in China, guns were still in it, but these two scenes were censored.
- French hitman Patrice shooting a security guard after entering a skyscraper (cut in its entirety).
- Dialogue between Bond and bar hostess Severine in a Macau casino (removing a reference to her becoming a prostitute at a young age).
Fighting Violence!
As you know, I recently visited China. One of the nice things I learned about their society is that they do not allow guns. They keep a very close eye on all weapons. Even if you buy a new butcher knife, you have to register it with the government. Very interesting!
