While we have been traditionally welcoming September with a poem about fall, today we welcome our month with the spirit of school and the fresh start it provides.
Sunflower Children
Sunflower children
Nod to the sun.
Summer is over
School has begun.

What I like about this poem is that it is short, sweet and right to the point. Time to turn your attention away from the “sunflower” fun of summer to the more serious thoughts connected with “school.”
September! The Month of the Babies
To us here at Parenting Tips with Dr. Sally, we have decided to focus on September as if it were a month of birth. September shares with having a baby the many joys, fears, and thrills of bringing something new and special into your life and then learning how to adjust and take care of it.
Before school starts there are all kinds of preparations–like there is during pregnancy. Then when that first day comes, that is like birth. After that the rest of the month is like adjusting and taking care of a baby.
All of us here wish you a fabulous start to the new school year; and in keeping with the spirit of September, we will do our best to provide tips, information, and advice related to pregnancy, birth, and that very first months of life.
NOTE: Tomorrow is Q & A day on Tuesday Afternoon Tea. Send in your question, and we will be happy to answer it as soon as possible.
