Use Praise Descreetly!

If you have more than one child around, praise in private. (*Tip 109)

When your child has accomplished something, he or she will reap its rewards any time and anywhere. In your efforts to show how proud you are, be careful not to flaunt that praise in front of other children. The privacy of your remarks will serve as protection to another child who might otherwise feel bad if he or she is not the one receiving the compliments.

It is interesting to note that even the smallest twist in your parenting can make a big difference.
