Teach your child with love to be aware of his or her own genuine qualities.

Notice and then reflect back to your child sparks of individuality. Talk to your baby about an irresistible smile. Mention to your toddler about an endearing laugh. Show your preschooler how much you like his or her kind and helpful nature. Do everything in your power to see and experience your child’s joys of accomplishment–from those amazing first steps to things like singing a song or playing an instrument. Show your excitement over your child’s growth and development as much as you can. It will enrich your child’s life in a way that no one else’s attention possibly can.
