Tip 50 – Treat your child to the joy of hearing about his or her positive qualities.
There is no time better than this month to point out to your child as many positive qualities as you can. Here is a helpful pattern to use:
“You are helpful. I saw you pick up your toys.”
“You are careful. I watched you carry the drinks.”
“You are neat. All your clothes are away.”
When you use specific examples, you make yourself more believable. The more you notice the good in your child, the more your child will be aware of it in him or herself.
