Tip 62 – Stay on top of your child’s experiences 24/7.
With today’s fast paced life, it is easy for childhood mishaps to happen. Sometimes incidents occur when you are not around. Other times they take place at events when you are present. Often times difficulties and confusions stir up right before your very eyes, but you are too busy doing other things to notice.
The worst part is that many of these troublesome situations that sneak up on you and your child cause fears which are very tenacious, linger and can continually affect behavior for years. Taking up much of the body’s energy, they cause avoidance and can keep your child from participating in important activities.
No matter what the situation, do what you can to uncover fears as soon as possible and then help your child to deal with them. Listen, question, and communicate in every way possible to get as much information as you can.
