Question: I am very worried about my daughter who is still sucking her thumb at six-years-old. I have tried every trick in the book, but nothing seems to work. At this point she gets angry at me with whatever I suggest. Do you have any ideas for getting her to stop?

The last 48 hours have been a little rough. We left home early AM for the dentist on Monday (a 2 hour drive each way for us). As we drove down the mountain, the snow continued to fall...and DUMP. I knew we were not going to get back home last night - the ice was too thick on our hill.

How are other parents "parenting"? |

Do you ever wonder how other parents "parent" their kids? Are they like you? Different?

With so many articles spinning around lately, about lost outdoor Play and Nature Deficit Disorder, I thought it might be fun to create a poem about outdoor PLAY. As wonderful as technology can be, nothing can replace outdoor fun, healthy exercise, fresh air and the guaranteed addition of new brain cells.
